não, esta não é a mesma lã da publicação anterior... depois de desfazer duas vezes (sim, leram bem, duas vezes) decidi pô-la de lado, deixar descansar para uma inspiração futura. ambas as ideias tinham bom aspecto na minha mente mas não no mundo real... e aquela lã macia e quentinha merece um bom projecto com bons acabamentos e vou partilhá-lo convosco, claro... mas isto não me parou... eu tinha uma camisola velha que estava demasiado larga para usar, eu não a queria desperdiçar por isso decidi desfazê-la (uma coisa na qual sou muito boa!!!!!)... por isso tenho um novo projecto... isto é apenas uma experiência para projectos futuros e envolve as minhas capacidades básicas de tricô... digo básicas porque nunca tricotei uma camisola ou algo do género. apenas cachecóis... eu deveria mesmo tentar evoluir... será um desafio... mas não agora... este é um pequeno detalhe do meu trabalho...

no, this is not the same wool from the previous post... after frogging the project twice (yes, you read it correctly, twice) I decided to put it aside, leaving it to rest for a future inspiration. both of my ideas were looking good in my mind but not in the real world... and that soft and warm wool deserves a good project with a good finish and I will share it with you, of course... but this didn't stop me... I had an old jumper that was too large for me to wear, I didn't want to waste it so I decided to frog it (one thing I am very good at!!!!!)... so I have a new project... this is only an experience for future projects and it involves my basic knitting abilities... I'm saying basic because I never knitted a sweater or something like that, only scarves... I totally should try to evolve... it will be a challenge... but not now... this is a small detail of my work...

a preparar-me para o inverno... estas adoráveis cores de algodão doce (não sou exactamente uma fã de algodão doce) são para o meu próximo projecto.
devo confessar que algo está a acontecer com este projecto... muitas vezes tenho que fazer adaptações enquanto estou no trabalho porque as coisas não estão a sair como tinha planeado antes, mas por agora as coisas estão a acontecer como pensei que iriam acontecer... uma correção: está ainda melhor... tãããão estranho...
e adoooooro estas cores... tão suaves como uma nuvem... elas fazem-me lembrar aqueles por-do-sol que nunca nos cansamos de olhar...

getting ready for winter... these adorable cotton candy colours (I'm not exactly a cotton candy fan!!!) are for my next project.
I must confess you that something is happening with this project... many times I must make adaptations while I'm crafting because things aren't coming out as I planned before, but by now everything is happening as I thought it would... correction: it's even better... sooooo strange...
and I looooove these colours... so soft just like a cloud... they remind me of those great sunsets one never gets tired looking at...

e aqui está a minha bolsa monstro das bolachas para o telemóvel... no inicio a minha ideia era fazê-lo peludo como a personagem mas depois de algumas experiências apercebi-me que era melhor ser simples... apreciem...

1- usei folha EVA (moosgummi) para proteger melhor o meu smartphone (porquê "esperto"? smart=esperto). usei este ponto simples para coser a bolsa interior. no princípio queria uma parte para fechar sobre a outra usando um botão, depois mudei de ideias...

1- I used EVA foam (moosgummi) to protect better my smartphone (why smart?). I used this simple stitch to sew the inner pouch. in the beginning I wanted a part to close over the other part with a button, then I changed my mind...

2- depois comecei com a bolsa exterior (em croché)... isto sou eu a "medir" a corda... muita ciência como podem ver... ;)

3- estas são as partes para a bolsa... o "corpo", a bolacha e os olhos...

4- se prestaram atenção na imagem anterior, parte da folha EVA está cortada... isto foi quando mudei de ideias. seria mais fácil fechar a bolsa sem essa parte. fiz um pouco mais do croché e cosi metade assim está parte fechada, protegendo o telemóvel.

4- if you paid attention to the previous picture, part of the EVA foam is cut... this was when I changed my mind. It would be easier to close the pouch without that part of the foam. I crocheted a bit more and sewed half of it so it is partly closed, protecting the phone.

frustration

quando tenho um projecto, penso no resultado final e no tipo de artesanato. enquanto estou a trabalhar, penso sobre cada um dos passos que vou tomar para acabar o trabalho e muitas apercebo-me que os passo que tomei não foram a melhor escolha... esta vez não é exceção... depois de ter feito quase meia bolsa, não gostei do que vi, por isso decidi desfazê-la...
não acho que o meu tempo foi desperdiçado porque todas as reflexões sobre o projecto são necessárias e sei que vou ficar mais satisfeita com o trabalho no final... mas mesmo assim enquanto estou a desfazer a bolsa, sinto-me um pouco frustrada...

when I have a project, I think about the final result, the material and the type of crafting. while I'm working, I think about each steps I'm going to take to finish the work and many times I realise that the steps I took weren't the best choice... this time is no exception... after crocheting almost half the pouch, I didn't like the looks of it, so I decided to frog it...
I don't think that my time was wasted because all the reflections about the project are necessary and I know that I will be more satisfied with the work in the end... but still while frogging the pouch, I feel a tiny bit frustrated...

recentemente comprei um telemovel com ecrã tátil (não gosto muito... tarde demais para arrependimentos e o problema é que às vezes sou desastrada. tenho andado à procura de bolsas ou caixas que vão protegê-lo nalguns acidentes tipo cair da cama, cair da mesa, cair do sofá, cair da mesinha de cabeceira (ok, é sempre o mesmo acidente)... depois da procura e não muito satisfeita com as ofertas do mercado, decidi fazer um pelas minhas próprias mãos...

Recently I bought a mobile phone with a touch screen (don't like it... too late for regrets now) and the problem is that sometimes I'm clumsy. I've been searching for pouches or cases that will protect it in some accidents like falling off the bed, falling off the table, falling off the sofa, falling off the bedside table (ok, it's always the same accident)... after the search and not very satisfied with the offers in the market, I've decided to make one by myself...

this weekend I watched this wonderful film...
it was so much fun: Rapunzel, a very brave girl, that has very peculiar weapons (a frying pan and her magical hair); Flynn Ryder, a thief with a golden heart, that helps Rapunzel to fullfil her most wanted wish; Maximus, the guard horse, that acts like a dog; and many more fun and cute characters...
I'm not a Disney movies fan because some of them have a lot of drama and my tears roll down my face very easily. if you are like me, trust me, you will love this film: there is a bit of drama but not too much. it has many beautiful scenes and it was 3D (felt a bit dizzy afterwards)...

- estou na cama bem quentinha a ouvi-la cair.
- estou sentada junto à janela e a beber algo quente.
- estou num café a ver pessoas com guarda-chuvas coloridos.

- tenho roupa molhada à espera de se secar ao sol (e roupas molhadas são roupas muito zangadas).
- tenho que ir trabalhar.
- preciso de ir ao centro da cidade e fazer muitas coisas em muitos sítios.
- chove todos os dias.

há anos atrás eu comprei um guarda-chuva amarelo e foi engraçado ver a reacção das pessoas: a maioria dizia que era uma cor estranha para um guarda-chuva e que nunca o usaria. Mas eu sei que o meu adorável guarda-chuva iluminava os meus dias de chuva como se eu tivesse um sol pessoal na minha mão... infelizmente ele estragou-se num dia mais tempestuoso. Agora tenho um guarda-chuva roxo giro (prenda de amiga) decorado com pegadas gato que eu raramente uso porque tenho medo que alguém mo roube e eu sei que as pessoas olham para mim de uma forma estranha porque já não sou um miúda pequena...

- I have clothes waiting to dry in the sun (and wet clothes are very angry clothes).

- I need to go to the city centre and do many things in many places.

years ago I bought a yellow umbrella and it was funny to see the people's reaction: most of them said that it was a strange colour for an umbrella and would never wear it. But I know that my adorable umbrella brightened up my rainy days like I had a personal sun in my hand... unfortunately on a stormy day it was ruined and now I have cute purple umbrella (a gift from a friend) decorated with footprints of a cat that I rarely wear because I'm afraid that someone may steal it and I know that when I use it people look at me in a strange way because I'm not a little girl...

neverending scarf ended

FINALMENTE terminei este cachecol interminável...
já o tinha começado há muito tempo e mais ou menos terminado mas a dona (Claudia) queria-o mais comprido e perguntou se era possível... sim, era e agora está acabado. Eu podia ter concluído este projecto há mais tempo mas trabalhar com lã quente no verão é um pouco impensável para mim...
foi tão divertido fazê-lo por causa das cores e também é tão quentinho... não é muito largo mas muuuuuuito comprido!
é tão bom quando acabo um projecto e sai tão bem como tinha imaginado... mereço uma palmadinha no meu ombro... feito!!!

FINALLY I've ended this neverending scarf...
it was started long time ago and sort of finished but the owner (Claudia) wanted it longer and asked me if it was possible... yup, it was and now it's finished. I could have concluded this project earlier but working with warm wool in summer is a bit unthinkable to me...
It was so much fun making it because of the colours and it is so warm too... not very large but veeeery long!
it's so good when I finish a project and it comes out as nice as I wanted... I deserve a pat on my shoulder... done!!!

descobri que algures num outro país ou países, existem Nutallerias... pergunto: tudo é servido com Nutella? nem consigo imaginar... adoraria dizer que se uma destas lojas abrir em Portugal eu estaria no paraíso... mas não... como é que poderia alguma vez ir lá, provar um pouco de tudo e saír daquele sítio? teria que ser arrastada para casa com lágrimas nos meus olhos... de vós não sei mas eu sou viciada em Nutella... sempre que tenho um frasco de Nutella em casa, ele está sempre a ser atacado... costumo comer muitas vezes no pão? a maior parte não... normalmente é invadido por uma colher pequena (só para ter a ilusão que uma colher pequena não se vai notar na balança... hahaha, sou tão engraçada... apenas uma colher) ou pelo meu dedo indicador (memórias de infância cada vez que o faço! até olho para trás a ver se fui apanhada no acto)... e com crepe? deliciooooooooso...
por agora posso dormir em paz... mas um dia o meu lugar preferido na terra vai chegar...

I found out that out there in another country or countries, there are Nutellerias... I ask: is everything served with Nutella? I can't even imagine it... I would love to say that if one of these shops opens in Portugal, it will be heaven to me... but no... how could I ever go there, try a bit of everything and leave the place? I had to be dragged home with tears in my eyes... I don't know about you but I'm a Nutella addict... whenever I have a jar of Nutella at home, it is always under attack... do I eat it a lot on bread? mostly not... it is usually invaded by a small spoon (just to get the illusion that a small spoon won't be noticed on the scale... hahahaha, I'm so funny... only one spoon) or by my index finger (brings me back to childhood whenever I do it! I even look behind to see if I was caught in the act) ... and on crepes? deeeeeelicious...
by now I can sleep peacefully... but one day my favourite place on earth will arrive...

- bem, aqui está... o meu colar transformado...

- não sou exactamente uma pessoa que usa colares embora adore ver colares nas outras mulheres e então decidi que também deveria usar...

- esqueci-me de tirar a foto do "antes" mas posso tentar descrever: um colar de corrente com alguns corações metálicos pendurados...
- achei-o tão querido na altura em que o comprei mas quando cheguei a casa apercebi-me que não era "eu"... por isso a pergunta foi: o que fazer?
- depois de muitas tentativas, foi isto que saíu...
- eu sei que as cores são fortes mas algumas das minhas t-shirts são lisas com cores básicas (preto, cinza...)... este colar vai trazer-lhes alguma vida

E o que raramente faço mas REALMENTE gosto é: molhar as bolachas no meu café e comê-los sem fazer muita porcaria... e fi-lo hoje imaginando que vós estaríeis aqui comigo a ter uma boa conversa à tarde...
o que gostariam de tomar enquanto estamos a conversar? terei na minha dispensa ou será um item na minha lista de compras?

I'm not a coffee addict.

I can start my day without drinking one and that is what I do.

I drink my coffee after lunch when I'm at home.

I don't like espresso... I prefer the old fashioned coffee to have a lot to drink.

I like drinking my coffee with small sips.

And what I seldom do but I REALLY like is: dunking cookies in my coffee and eat them without making a big mess... and I did it today imagining that you were here with me having a nice afternoon chat...
what would you like to drink while we are talking? will I have it in my pantry or will it be an item in my shopping list?

Coisas aconteceram: umas boas outras nem por isso mas a vida é assim, certo?
Não passei muito tempo a fazer trabalhos manuais mas estou quase a acabar um projecto que vou publicar muito em breve... Vai ser sobre um objecto "porque é que comprei isto se nunca o vou usar?" e o que fiz para o tornar "macati usável"...
não esperem por uma foto "antes / depois"... esqueci-me de tirar a foto do "antes", ups... espero que me perdoem...

Things happened: some good and some not so good but that's what life is all about, right?
Didn't spend a lot of time crafting but I'm almost finishing a project I will post pretty soon... It will be about one "Why did I buy this if I will never wear it?" object and what I did to make it "macati wearable"...
don't expect a "before / after" picture... I forgot to take the "before" picture, oups... hope you will forgive me...
